Tree Types

2013_3Douglas Fir:This is a tree with medium stiff branches, a green to blue color, with excellent needle retention. It’s a tree that some growers avoid due to the extra work entailed in growing and shaping. It does well with ornaments except for the heavy ones. Needles are 1 to 1-1/2 inches long.

Concolor Fir:This species also has excellent needle retention. Customers are usually unfamiliar with its name, instead they ask for the tree that smells like citrus.

Eastern White Pine:This tree has soft, blue-green needles that are 2-5 inches long. It has a very full appearance, little or no fragrance, and less allergic reaction compared to more fragrant trees.

Fraser Fir:We try to bring in fresh Fraser Fir from local farms when possible.

A little bit more about our trees… We shake them, bale them, drill them for stand straight tree stands, and tie them on your car…compliments of BJ’s Christmas Tree Farm.
