This is a tree with medium stiff branches, a green to blue color, with excellent needle retention. It’s a tree that some growers avoid due to the extra work entailed in growing and shaping. It does well with ornaments except for the heavy ones. Needles are 1 to 1-1/2 inches long.
This species also has excellent needle retention. Customers are usually unfamiliar with its name, instead they ask for the tree that smells like citrus.
EASTERN WHITE PINE
This tree has soft, blue-green needles that are 2-5 inches long. It has a very full appearance, little or no fragrance, and less allergic reaction compared to more fragrant trees.
